Equip your RV the way you need it: see what is usually included, how the protection works and which extras you can add.
Extras & Insurance
Safety above all
Insurance
What is included depends on the rental company and the vehicle. If you would like to lower the amount you are liable for in case of damage, you can usually add extra protection when you book.
How the insurance works
Optional insurance

Extra protection
Optional packages that reduce the amount you are liable for, up to zero excess on some vehicles. The options and the remaining excess depend on the company and the vehicle: you'll see them when you book.
The excess, the deposit and the price of extra protection depend on the company and the vehicle: you'll see the exact amounts while booking, before you pay. Insurance usually does not cover damage to the underside or the tires, or damage from driving off-road or through water. More details in our Terms and Conditions.

Extras
In addition to the standard equipment that comes with each vehicle, there is a variety of extras to make your trip more comfortable. What is available depends on the rental company and the vehicle. These are some typical ones.
Included in the price
Optional extras

Additional driver
The standard agreement covers one driver. With this extra you can add more. Depending on the company and the vehicle, an additional driver may already be included.

GPS
A satellite navigation system, so that you don't have to rely on the map alone.

Child seat
Child restraint rules depend on the state. Tell us your child's age, height and weight so that the right seat is ready for you.

Inverter
Converts the 12 V power from the vehicle's battery into mains power for your devices. Not available with all models.

Bed linen pack
Save space in your luggage: the pack usually includes a blanket, a pillow, sheets and covers. Often part of the personal kit, depending on the company.

Towel pack
Towels for your trip, often sold with the bedding as a personal kit: one large and one small towel, depending on the vehicle and the company.

Table and chair set
One table and enough chairs for all your passengers: ideal for picnics and late-night barbecues.

Kitchen kit
Pots, pans, plates, cutlery and cooking utensils so you can cook on board. What it contains depends on the company.

Generator
A generator powers the air conditioning and the appliances when you are away from an electric hookup, for example when you stay at a campground without power. Generator use may be charged per hour, and campgrounds usually have quiet hours.
Which extras are available, and their price, depends on the rental company and the vehicle: you'll see them while booking, before you pay. Some extras can also be added at pick-up.
